Description
The SS Dunraven is a classic wreck dive located at the edge of Ras Mohamed National Park in the Red Sea. This British steamship sank in 1876 after hitting the reef while en route from Bombay to England. Today, the ship lies upside down at depths between 18 and 30 meters, its hull covered with colorful corals and home to an abundance of marine creatures. Divers can swim through openings in the wreck, exploring its engine room, boilers, and cargo spaces illuminated by shafts of sunlight. Over the years, the Dunraven has become a favorite among underwater photographers and wreck enthusiasts for its easy access, intriguing history, and peaceful beauty.
